Itel A70, also called as itel A70 4G, comes with a few trendy features. The V-notch on the front turns into a so-called ”dynamic bar” or a notification area for charging or battery status, incoming calls or for unlocking. This is a very useful and popular feature at the moment, identical to the latest Apple iPhones. The camera module on the back also has that kind of iPhone look. Some like it, some don’t. We leave it up to you to make a decision. The back part has a matt finish with a bit of glitter, which looks lovely. Overall, it does well in terms of design.
The screen size is 6.6-inch with HD+ resolution and 500 nits peak brightness. Its refresh rate remains the standard 60Hz. The primary camera has a 13 MP lens with a secondary AI lens (could be a low resolution depth sensor) and the selfie capturer is 8 MP. We have seen photo examples from hands-on video review and they look decent with proper sunlight. There is up to 1080p video recording option with no EIS.
Its 5000 mAh battery is a good deal. HD screen drains lower battery than Full HD screens so, you’ll get a longer backup (about 1.5 days for regular usage). The charger is a standard 10W and the charging time is around 3 hours. A very interesting fact is that we are seeing a 12 nm Unisoc T603 chipset. This is the first time for us to discover it on a smartphone. It performs slightly lower than the common entry-level Unisoc T606 chipset. But the T603 can handle day-to-day tasks smoothly enough. But it’s not a game oriented chipset and some games that require high processing speed may not install here. There is 3 GB RAM with 5 GB virtual RAM and 4 GB RAM with up to 8 GB virtual RAM option. It has 64 or 128 GB storage option and that’s a fine advantage. A dedicated memory card slot is there for up to 2 TB additional storage expansion. Its fingerprint sensor is placed on the right side. Android 13 Go version is its operating system.
